Runi Tafeaga was born in American Samoa and grew up in Hawaii.
Married for thirty years to Marrietta Tafeaga, they raised three sons Tyler, Dustin and Gavan.

In his younger age Runi danced professionally around the world before becoming a talented Producer, Choreographer, and Owner of Hot Lava Productions in Las Vegas.
